Where is Wahweap Marina?
Wahweap Marina sits at the southwestern end of Lake Powell, inside Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, 7 miles north of downtown Page, Arizona. The drive from Page takes about 10 minutes: head north on US-89, then turn left onto Lakeshore Drive. You pass through the NPS entrance kiosk before reaching the marina complex.

Wahweap is the largest marina on Lake Powell and the primary hub for most visitors. The complex includes the marina docks, Lake Powell Resort (hotel), the Rainbow Room restaurant, Wahweap Pizza Co., a convenience store, campground, fuel docks, and boat repair facilities, all in one location.
The closest alternative marina is Antelope Point Marina, 10 minutes east of Page on Highway 222, operated independently by the Navajo Nation. Antelope Point offers a smaller boutique fleet and better kayak access to the lower canyon inlets. For most visitors making their first trip to Lake Powell, Wahweap is the default starting point.

Scenic Dam Cruise
A 90-minute tour departing from the Wahweap Marina dock. The route takes you past the Wahweap Bay and down to Glen Canyon Dam, one of the tallest concrete arch dams in the United States. The tour includes narration on the dam's construction and Lake Powell's history. It is the shortest and most accessible tour for visitors with limited time.
Navajo Canyon Boat Tour
Approximately 1.5 hours. This tour travels into Navajo Canyon, one of the side canyons off the main lake, with sandstone walls rising above the water. A good introduction to the canyon scenery of Lake Powell without committing to a full-day excursion.
Canyon Princess Dinner Cruise
A 2-hour evening dinner cruise aboard the Canyon Princess, Aramark's dedicated dinner boat. Guests dine while cruising Wahweap Bay with views of the lake and surrounding canyon walls at sunset. The only evening tour option from Wahweap.
Rainbow Bridge full-day tour
The signature Lake Powell experience: a ~6-hour round trip to Rainbow Bridge, the largest natural arch in the world, located approximately 50 miles up-lake from Wahweap. Availability depends on current water levels; at lower lake elevations, the approach channel into Forbidding Canyon becomes too shallow for tour vessels. Houseboat rentals
Wahweap Marina is the departure point for the largest houseboat fleet on Lake Powell. Aramark operates 8 models ranging from a 46-foot entry-level Expedition to a 75-foot Excursion with waterslide and hot tub. Weekly rates run $2,271–$9,214 depending on model and season. No boating licence is required; a valid driver's licence and the mandatory dock orientation are all you need.
Antelope Point Marina, 10 minutes east of Page, runs a smaller boutique fleet including their unique boatel option, a moored houseboat used as a hotel room rather than a self-drive rental.
Note: since Dangling Rope Marina closed permanently in 2023, the mid-lake fuel stop is gone. Trips beyond 30 miles up-lake now require strict fuel planning. The remaining fuel docks are at Wahweap, Antelope Point, Bullfrog, and Halls Crossing.
Camping and RV at Wahweap
Wahweap RV & Campground is located at the marina complex and offers both RV sites (with electrical hookups) and tent camping. On-site amenities include showers and laundry facilities. The campground has direct lake access and is within walking distance of the marina store, restaurants, and boat docks.

Dispersed camping is also permitted in most of the Glen Canyon NRA backcountry, including beach camping from a private boat. This is the classic Lake Powell experience: anchor in a side canyon and camp on the sandstone. NPS entry fees apply; no additional permit is required for dispersed camping in most areas.

Wahweap has a fuel dock serving motorized vessels. This is one of four remaining fuel points on Lake Powell following the permanent closure of Dangling Rope Marina in 2023. Boat repair and services
